Hi, my name is Luca Ravagnan, I am Italian and I am a Physics doctoral researcher at the University Statale of Milano. This site has the aim to give you an overview on my several interests, and, who knows, to find other friends to share them. In the following brief introduction I will try to answer to the following questions:

I was born in Milano in 1978.
My academic history:
From 1992 to 1995 I attended the first 3 years of my secondary school education at the Technical Institute L. Galvani (Milano). There I acquired technical skills in electronics and informatics.
In 1995 I participated to the selections for the United World Colleges. They are a network of international secondary school, attended by students selected from more than 70 different countries, with a full scholarship. I got access to the UW College of the Adriatic situated close toTrieste, where from 1995 to 1997 I studied in depth scientific subjects. In May 1997 I performed the final examinations and I got the International Baccalaureate degree.
From 1997 to 2002 I attended the Physics faculty of the Milano's Statal University (Universta` Statale di Milano). During those years I specialized my studies on Solid State Physics, and in September 2001 I started my thesis with the LGM (Molecular Jets Laboratory) research group leaded by Professor Paolo Milani. There I studied carbon based cluster assembled materials, and on 26 March 2002 I got my Laurea with a thesis entitled "Characterization of carbon linear nanostructures by means of in situ Raman spectroscopy".
From June to October 2002 I then continued my work in this group with a collaboration contract. During this time I also participated to the selections for a doctoral scholarship at the Statal Universities of Milano and Pavia. I won both, and so from November I started my doctoral activity at the Milano University, again with the LGM group.
